I don't mind Vegeta being the same age as Goku, don't see nothing special about that retcon, but I don't think they are the exact same age though, I think Vegeta maybe a 1 or 2 older. Frieza style change, that kinda annoyed me since they just changed the way he looked, but it could be Frieza ability to change it himself or an attempt to make Frieza look more like King Cold, which if it is than why not, Frieza does look odd compared to the rest of his family.

What also annoys me though is the backstory, this is kinda a waste of time, if they were explaining the origins of the saiyans from thousands of years back than nice, but they are just retelling a story which has been told many of times, which I find dumb since it's taking movie time, if the movie was 130 mins than whatever, but it's only 105 mins or so.

It's a retcon all the same, thus poor writing.

Frieza style change, that kinda annoyed me since they just changed the way he looked, but it could be Frieza ability to change it himself or an attempt to make Frieza look more like King Cold, which if it is than why not, Frieza does look odd compared to the rest of his family.

Freeza was shown to be no different to his 1st form's Namek appearance when he destroyed Planet Vegeta in the manga, so it's still inconsistent.

I didn't really pay any attention to Frieza's design and I just assumed that he wasn't wearing an armor. Also apparently the trailer was leaked earlier than the actual release.

Bulma is older than Vegeta then.

Paragus and Broly seeking revenge against King Vegeta instead of going after Goku for crying is definitely an improvement. Things like Vegeta's age and Bardock's armor just seem random.

Broly being the cast off worthless Saiyan is terrible, especially when that was originally apart of Goku's character. Or when they make designs look hideous for no real reason, like with Fetus Freeza.

Goku was never a worthless cast off. He was a low level warrior sent off to a weak world. Who knows why Broly being sent off. Raditz said it was commonplace for Saiyans to be sent off, so there could be more to it if Paragus is objecting to it. Freeza is just missing his shoulder pads lol

I don't think Freeza meeting the Saiyans and subjugating them will be a bad thing to see though.

It's not bad. People are just upset because it made Bardock not the badass they remember from the non-canon TV special.

Either way, this is just random fans' opinion.
Everything is fine. Every retcon so far has been good for the series, despite the hateful fan opinions.

So Broly is exiled. Perhaps King Vegeta sends him away to prevent Freeza from discovering him, while Paragus thinks Broly could liberate the Saiyans.
