This is the first DBZ movie I've actively wanted everybody involved to be imprisoned and tortured for making. If I was one of those super rich people, I'd buy Toei and force them to retract this thing, then fire everybody with a dildo text message.

I liked the parallel of Goku, Vegeta and Broly being born at the same time but the way Goku was send to Earth is completely a ripped off from Superman iirc. I'm fine with Vegeta and Broly story but certainly not Goku. The fact that he was older than a baby when he was send to Earth is completely contradiction to the manga. The way Roshi told to Goku that he was just a baby when grandpa Gohan found him on the woods.

Also Frieza said something that an opportunity to wipe out the Saiyans so I guess we can see Beerus giving him an authorization for that. Honestly, I like how Toei handled it better.

Yes, even in the manga as well. Vegeta said he was just a child when his planet was destroyed while Goku was said to be a baby when Grandpa Gohan found him on the woods.

From the trailer, it doesn't look as though we have Bardock confronting Freeza during Planet Vegeta's destruction. Unless they have Freeza just killing Bardock before he destroys the planet, looks like this will be another part of the original manga Super contradicted (especially if Bardock lacks his iconic armour and headband by that point). Considering Freeza lacks armour as he did in the panel showing it in the original manga, the retcon seems to be the case. As if there wasn't enough reasons to treat the current state of the franchise as a joke.

It's a shame when the first 10-20 seconds of the trailer were actually engaging in showing the potential storyline of Freeza's first interactions with the Saiyans, some focus on King Vegeta's character and what Cold was doing in the past. All that would've made a far more worthwhile film than just making Broly canon.

From my understanding the first part of the movie will focus on Freeza meeting the Saiyans and how all that plays out. The first part is supposed to be 30 or so minutes, so perhaps there will be some actually good things in this movie.

Who is booking this crap? Vegeta is the same age as Goku and Broccoli. Freeza looking more like a Ditto. Bardock doesn't have his ironic armor or headband and he isn't himself. Goku is a wannabe Sun Wukong, now he's a wannabe Superman. Gine is there. Everybody crying. No mention of Raditz. That's what the crying should be about. Next thing you know, the Saiyans will have their own safe space.
