For anyone who's not already aware, Bulma's new seiyuu has been decided on. Aya Hisakawa, most well known for voicing Sailor Mercury in the original Sailor Moon series, has voiced Bulma in a recent commercial.

Not a bad replacement. She still has too much of a soft tone compared to Tsuru, but it's as good of a replacement as I could expect.

That's kind've expected, considering how iconic her voice was to the franchise. The Japanese fanbase tend to be a lot more obsessive about certain aspects of anime such as voice acting consistency, so it's to bad expected they'd want to avoid backlash by trying to be as close to the original as possible.

I think she might sound more natural in an episode or movie, that commercial is only like a minute long after all.

Not to mention it is her first attempt at Bulma. She'll probably get better with experience at the role like most voice actors.
