Captain Cadaver how are you supposed to amass 30k orbs while spending them on skill tree upgrades? I’ve currently got less than 2000 for each, and only 12 D medals.

Edit: not 12 D medals, 12 of the multi coloured orb.

I kind of like the idea of Piccolo sparring with the humans before training with Gohan for the Saiyans. It might be contradictory to what actually happened but I don’t care.

Why on earth do you have to individually add items to your character? I have 70 apples I want to use but I have to apply them individually? Tf is that?

It’s too bad that Goku’s training with Kaio was skipped.

You start to get more orbs at a faster rate when progressing in the story, particularly from boss fights. Many skills will be locked until getting far enough in the story or reaching a certain level anyway, so you won't be spending all your orbs at once. I've almost completed the skill trees for Goku, Gohan and Vegeta and still have around 100k of each normal orb, about 1.8k rainbow orbs and 800-900 D Medals.

Basically, acquiring things gets easier as the game progresses.

Yea I’ve already noticed an increase in the orbs since doing more story missions. Makes sense now. What are the silver and gold orbs? I have 0.

Also how much money is recommended to have? I have 50k rn.

The silver and gold ones are gained from defeating villainous parties (those enemies with red auras around them) and are used to upgrade Mastery skills from completing Gravity Chamber missions, which become available during the 3 year training in the Cell Arc. You can also get them from using the Dragon Balls to wish for orbs, but I'd say that's ill advised compared to the other wishes.

50k is fine if you're still in the Saiyan Arc and not using up your healing item rations too much. You'll probably want to be around 100k or so by the time you get to the Cell Arc as upgrading the Gravity Chamber will be a highly expensive task (think it took 300k+ zeni to get it to Level 10 in the post-game). Clearing sub-stories and exploring the open world can help as both can offer selling items (the purple orbs that offer D Medals will sometimes be a rare item instead). Again, Dragon Balls can help, but the priority for wishes at first ought to be reviving dead villains. Later in the games, you'll be getting enough items from sub-stories that you can sometimes pawn off the sell-only ones for 50-100k if you've saved up a lot of them.

I’m still a bit confused with the functionality of the community board. I have it set up based on each soul emblem’s highest base stat and have gotten several bonuses. What does it do though? How do you decide where to put specific emblems?

I have to say, I am extremely happy that I bought this game. This is definitely the most fun I’ve had in a Dragon Ball game in many years.

I'd say it mainly comes down to two things. First would be natural proficiency in the category and second would be the unique link bonuses provided by placing certain emblems together (eg. Goku + Kuririn + Yamcha = Turtle School Student link bonus). Making sure the majority of the soul emblems have a link bonus active is a good route to go and links with a larger amount of souls usually offer up a greater bonus (eg. the Ginyu Force or Saiyan Survivors).
A good rule of thumb on which category works best is to view the emblem information by pressing Triangle/Y on it to display things like friendship, potential link bonuses, etc. You will see what level of proficiency they have in each category and looking at what item gets unlocked when maxing out their friendship as a reward will give you an indication of what category they naturally go in (eg. Namu's last reward being "Secret of Success: Adults" makes it apparent he's suited for the Adult Community).
Regardless of proficiency, I'd say it's best to put all your emblems into the Training Community at first to make sure you get a decent EXP boost, editing it more when you get better emblems suited for it.

Hmm...I initially didn't plan to buy the game, but from what I'm reading, it seems to be better than I thought. I'll get it as soon as I can.

Yea I was in the same boat. I'm only at the battle with the Saiyans but I'm enjoying it a lot.

Stopped playing last night after beating Oozaru Vegeta. It seems easy to abuse Kaioken if you are stocked with Vitamin drinks. I was able to slaughter both Nappa and Vegeta with minimal difficulty.

Is Namek more difficult? Just completed the Saiyan arc and I can’t say it was very challenging.

Dodoria and Monster Zarbon can be quite difficult to deal with. Goku VS Jheese & Butta and Goku VS Ginyu & Jheese are quite difficult purely due to them being 2 V 1 situations, but that's about it. Other than that, Namek's pretty easy.

How do you get an instant victory? I have yet to get 1, and I see there is a trophy after getting 50.

I’m assuming it’s when you boost fly through a weaker enemy.

Yeah, it's that. The key to getting them easy would be to lure an enemy locked onto you as close as you can, then boost dash straight into them.
