How strong is Android Piccolo compared to Goku/Vegeta?

So, Piccolo's confidence stems from where exactly then SSJ2? He seems to think he would finish Cell right then and there, I don't think he needs to take the weights off. Cell taunts him and says that it wouldn't be easy.

I'm a bit torn on that.

Well, I assume Cell didn't take much of his ki. Piccolo probably lost more from regenerating than from losing ki to Cell.

I don't think Trunks should be that far from Vegeta. The latter couldn't outrun the former when he was trying to. Plus, you've got Piccolo closer to Trunks than you have Trunks to Vegeta, which seems off.

There's nothing wrong with putting Trunks at 88. Trunks is portrayed as an 86 imo, but the gap between he and Piccolo should be significant as well.

Flight speed isn't going to be drastically altered by a level like that.

I like your approach with 18 and 17's disparity. It's bold, most won't make it so wide. But it's possible for sure. Most of us keep 18 within like 90% of 17 or so.

Piccolo's confidence probably comes from the fact that Cell just isn't all that strong. He (as Kami) considered Cell to be a monster, but after fighting him for awhile, questions whether labeling him as such was correct. He also said his KMHMH wasn't anything special, so all Cell had going for him there was his sneaky tail.

Cell was confident because he was looking to catch Piccolo off-guard and absorb him. That was his go to tactic when he realized he couldn't handle Piccolo in a straight-up fight.

How is Trunks portrayed as a very distant rival to Vegeta? They're said to be in the same group by multiple people. The only thing holding Trunks back is him thinking Vegeta is amazing for fighting on par with 18.

Yea, that's how I generally view it. I think Trunks is shitted on a whole lot. He's clearly not on the same level as Goku and Vegeta are. He is grouped together sure, but he's clearly 2 or 3 steps behind imo.

Ginger Town Cell I'd say would be in the 108-112.5 area, though considering Vegeta's reaction to his power I'd say over 1.1x stronger than him. Piccolo's confidence can be mainly due to his unweighted self being able to squash him.

Cell was just that much weaker than him, it seems. Cell was pretty weak compared to Piccolo and the Androids, but pretty powerful compared to the Super Saiyans. Weighted Piccolo was already too much for Cell.

Exactly. Which is why I think Weighted Piccolo is holding back a bit against Imperfect Cell. His intention is to get information out of Cell, not kill him. Which is weird, Kami really, really blew that. Piccolo should have went on an all out offensive and killed the threat right then and there. What a waste of an awesome moment. This is the only thing that sucks with DBZ and it's Goku wanking. Piccolo should have finished him right then and there. Or at least attempted to, what good is information here?
