How strong is Android Piccolo compared to Goku/Vegeta?

He told Cell it was convenient there was no one left so he could hold-back, then he went on to hold-back.

My guess is if Cell never revealed anything about his Perfect form, Piccolo would've kept thrashing him. That was the part that seemed to take his attention away from the battle.

Kami just had to butt in there. Ruthless Piccolo would have killed him. Kami ruined the epic Kamiccolo strongest in the universe moment. What a dick!

It's weird though. He says it's the perfect time to not hold back due to city being uninhabited, and then shoots an energy blast that doesn't seem to have damaged Cell that severely.

It's Kami's influence from the get go. He's just telling Cell that to get Cell convinced that Piccolo is giving everything he got so if Cell gets the advantage, that's all there is to it.

Kami wanted to desperately know what this ill feeling was all these years. Piccolo doesn't seem to get worked up over things like that. He would have just killed him and the story would end there. Guess Kami played his part.

Factoring in the 2x boost for the merge with Kami, and Piccolo not being in the same league as the Super Saiyan's beforehand, that's what seems to be implied.

I remember someone saying Piccolo no longer wore weights because it never made the usual sound it makes when he drops them.

That'd be nice if we actually saw it land before fighting Gero or #17. We don't see it drop like it did when he fought Raditz and Freeza.

Either way, Piccolo deciding to no longer use weights is BS and makes no sense.

The 2x boost is just fan logic. What we do know is that Piccolo's previous power was deemed impressive by Vegeta, yet still not in the same league as the Super Saiyans.

Dodoria is not in the same league as Vegeta.


Piccolo ( FP ) ~ 17 > 18 ~ Piccolo Weighted > Cell > Vegeta

Is all that is given to us.

I was thinking about Piccolo's line of "whether we got too strong or not". Why would Piccolo question the androids' strength if he were way above Trunks?

I don't understand. Why wouldn't he?

Because if he were above Trunks then it's normal him beating up opponents Trunks couldn't. The fact he questioned it doesn't imply he thought beating foes Trunks couldn't was unexpected?

I don't think Kamiccolo lost as much power as Nail after having his arm taken out imo. And a 91% gap is still enough for Kamiccolo to win without too much problems even with his weights imo.

That suggests that Piccolo and Co. are well above Trunks.

Androids ( High End ) >> Androids ( Low End ) >> Goku/Trunks


Android Saga Powers are probably ridiculously high. As much as we don't like it.

I see this line of thought. And I agree with it. But seeing the other side, Piccolo questioning the androids strength sounds like that beating an opponent that could beat Trunks wasn't something he was expecting, no? If he already expected beating opponents who are way above Trunks, then why put his power into doubt?

Because they were sold on the androids being "monsters". Monsters who would wreck Goku and Trunks, Goku's already impressive power only gave Trunks "a little hope".

Goku and Trunks clearly are nothing to the androids and need 3 years of life and death training to even hope to become anywhere close. And even then, it's not a guarantee.

I think we have severely underestimated how powerful the Android Saga characters are. 3 years is a shit ton of time, every other saga has has massive gains in that amount of time.

Piccolo definitely can't be weaker than the Super Saiyans from yrs back. The fact that he'd even consider that possibility tells me he was comfortably above Yardrat Goku and Trunks.

I know some like to say Trunks in the Android saga is hardly any different than he was from 3 yrs before, but that also seems like BS. It's also a reason to keep Piccolo at a relatively weak level.

But if Piccolo was already expecting beating the androids Trunks advised them, then why assume two possibilities? Why not flat out say they are the androids?

Maybe because he wasn't expecting the Androids to be so pathetic. I could at least understand Piccolo questioning that possibility. It makes no sense for him to really question becoming too strong because it makes it seem like he's unsure of his vast improvement.

He was never expecting to beat the Androids, he had a bad premonition heading in and was uneasy about their chances.
