That sounds a bit arbitrary. But considering the one you guys have to deal with, it's hardly surprising. How can you have the nerves to debate with someone that stubborn ?

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Can you guys raise my reputation please, as I'm apparently not respectul (h0kuten lowered it with this excuse because I've lowered his) ? </div>

He literally states he can't get stronger.
So why does he train ?! To wipe the floor at King Kai's planet ?! And he was clearly not making training to master transformations, no. He was making physical trainings.

Obviously, if you ignore the context. The only way to get strong enough to face Beerus is to use fusion.

Goku only had maybe an hour or so to spare. So time seems like a factor when he makes that statement about fusion. Even that spent in the RoSaT would probably not cover any gains that fusion could bring. Just me, but it seems like training wasn't even an option. He tried it and determined otherwise.

@Southern Gothic : Well, when you know that he should fight a guy stronger than Vegetto, it's obvious that training won't be enough to close the gap in 20 years at least. And Beerus wouldn't wait that long to destroy the Earth.

Goku blatantly states he can't get stronger unless he merges with Vegeta.

It's that simple.

Vegeta blatantly says that if he stays with his family while Goku trains, he'll fall behind him further.

But yeah, it's obvious. Goku is an idiot. He can't get stronger by training, but he trains anyways ? Are you really trying to debate, dude ?

If you lift weights, or box for 6 months, but take a long break and not train, you'll decrease.

Common sense? Or??

As I thought, you think that Goku train for nothing. And your theory requires Goku to take out of character actions with no reason whatsoever. Do you think that it would take only a few hours or even one day of break for Goku to decrease his power ? Doubt it. Goku never neglected his training, and had no reason to do so.

Train for nothing? Goku trains to keep what he has. It's definitely not out of character.

Are you saying that Goku was just maintaining his strength?
He states there was only one way to get stronger after trying to do training in BoG & Db Super.

So according to your logic, Goku trained and tried to get stronger -for no reason, only to realize he couldn't, prior to acknowledging that merging was the only way?

Keep reaching m8s.

Fusing with Vegeta is the "only way" to get stronger because he doesn't have much time to train. Unless he's expecting Beers to take a year+ to destroy the Earth or something.

That only causes a contradiction when Goku tries to train by himself, to get stronger -but can't.

It had nothing to do with time. Time was irrelevant when he made that statement. Hence why 'the only' way to get stronger.

Beerus didn't decide to destroy the Earth just then. So Goku doesn't have to be worried about Beerus destroying the planet.

Again, time is IRRELEVANT and has nothing to do with the statement.

We can respectfully disagree. However, I have to have the last word. Besides, I picked out a flaw in their logic, yet again. ^.^
