Almost done with the Eneis Lobby arc. Freaking good stuff.

Thriller Bark arc seems like it's going to be pretty good.

It's a decent arc overall. It's not as bombastic as previous arcs (though that's not to say worst, since it has far fewer direct flaws than the Skypiea or overrated Water 7/CP9 Arcs) and has some very predictable characters, yet it's highlights aren't to be ignored; featuring perhaps the best climactic battle in the series due to the teamwork involved and having what's easily Zoro's most badass moment.

I can't wait then, considering Zoro is one of my favorites.

Thriller Bark arc was pretty good. Not the best, but certainly not bad. Hard to follow Eneis Lobby which has been the best arc so far.

In the middle of Marineford right now. After Fishman Island arc, I'm going to switch over to the manga.

I haven't watched/read one piece since before they even started fighting big mom, the cake island arc was just too boring.

Has it gotten interesting again yet or nah?

I think it’s starting to. It looks like the Wano arc is going to have a ton of action. It has been rather mediocre lately but Wano is getting me interested in the series again.

The Reverie was interesting. Wano, despite the hype it's been given, has been pretty shit thus far. Along with giving a dumb action to split the crew up and didn't lead to much of an adventure, the new characters have been a major disappointment. Tama's ability is way too convenient when it comes to gaining allies and the members of Kaidou's crew that have been shown thus far have been a complete joke for people with such responsibilities. It was understandable for there to be a few incompetent characters within Big Mom's ranks since you can't exactly get a perfect group when choosing your family, but that excuse doesn't exist within Kaidou's ranks, giving little reason to why he'd put such fodder mooks in charge of anything.
They also brought time travel into the series. It at least only works forward rather than backward and the DF user is apparently dead, but it can still wind up causing some problems with the series' continuity seeing as how the evidence of it's user's death is pretty slim.

I still hold out hope for it being a decent arc, but it's off to a very rocky start.

Why did they even split up again? Did the Wano team do what they were supposed to? It's been mostly boring bullshit so it's hard for me to remember much of anything.

A waterfall and some koi knocked them off-course.

Remember that on a weaker ship, they were able to get to sky island without being forced to split up. :punk

Hardly any focus has been given to what Zoro, Law and the rest were doing and they haven't discussed it with the new arrivals, so we honestly don't know the details. All that's known is Kinemon has been successful in rallying a significant force of rebels.

While I agree that the start of Wano has been complete ass, and some of the most boring content since Fagman Island, I think the bigger picture that is being set up is an exciting premise.

That's still just hype atm, so I don't think buying into it would be a wise idea when you'd get equally disappointed if it ends up unable to deliver. The same could be said of Whole Cake Island, after all.

I agree it does present far more promise than the previous Part 2 Arcs, though I imagine it will still contain some of the series' major pitfalls when considering what we've been given in it's early stages. I wouldn't say it's impact on the story as a whole would be capable of holding the arc up, considering the same point can be made for Skypiea.

Fair points. However I personally didn't feel the same level of hype from WCI simply given the scale, the objective of the arc, and the amount of allies involved. Wano is setting up the premise that Kaido is going to be killed, and that it will be a large scale battle. WCI had no objective close to this, thus I didn't feel the same level of hype/excitement.

Although I will take your advice and be cautiously optimistic as I know the current state of OP isnt what it used to be.

Whilst that's true, WCI did have the main cast going into a Yonko's territory after having declared open war against them. With that sort of premise, it had the potential for becoming a large scale conflict. Kaidou does seem to be set up to be killed, which could provide some hype, though how exactly it's done may end up being disappointing or contrived with how the odds look for the Straw Hats.

I have to say the anime is actually doing a really good job with Luffy vs Katakuri compared to the manga.
