The premise of this story is already hooking me a lot more than part 1 did, and I'm only on chapter 9.

Joseph vs Santana was a pretty good battle, very unpredictable.

Yeah... Despite being the best Pillarman (which is a low bar), Wham is basically just the honourable warrior archetype done to a tee.

Part 2 has really grown on me. Seeing true character development was a nice change.

Finished Part 2 last night. Head is too foggy to give my opinion on it, but I certainly liked 2 better than 1. However, I wasn't exactly a fan of he similarities between 1 and 2, such as the Zeppeli dying, and the Joestar surviving. Kars becoming that immortal beast was pretty gay too.

Better than Part 1, but worse than Part 2 imo.

Part 2 >> Part 3 ~ Part 1. Stardust Crusaders is definitely more entertaining than Phantom Blood with it's humour, it's cast's personality and the introduction of Stands making combat far more strategic, though it does suffer from some of the dumbest writing in the series with even more plot holes from Part 1 and has it's story needlessly extended due to popularity.

It's not bad, has some great characters. Still not better than Part 1 or Part 2 imo. It's probably my least favorite part in all honesty. The anime drags on way longer than it needed.

Part 1 is the bottom of the list, part 3 is worse than part 2. But I did enjoy part 3 more when I watched it, and this was entirely because of stands making the combat far more interesting.

Why is Dio alive after a century??

His GAINZ saved him from dying on the boat.

There is better out there, but it makes for decent entertainment despite it's generally sub-par writing quality (more so than F/Z's pretentious attempts at being "deep" anyway). It's also essential if wanting to leave the later parts, particularly Part 6 which is probably the best of the parts prior to the SBR Timeline series.
