Part 2 is a lot better when you binge it but it’s painful at times when you’re reading on a weekly basis.The Punk Hazard/Dressrosa saga took what seemed like 10 years to finish and the only payoff was a beefed up version of the Alabasta arc with Luffy gaining more followers afterwards. I just got to nearly the end of Thriller Bark in my reread (they're fighting Oz/Oars right now) and want to finally catch up, but that don't mean I will enjoy things that are objectively far longer than they need to be or a repetition of prior events (mreso than the typical formula of Luffy and the Monster Trio taking on the most powerful opponents and the rest just taking a back seat in the major fights).
I think the context of the statement was in reference to Luffy's new form.It's fucking hilarious when people try to twist the statement.
Oh, but it wasn't just a punch that beat him! He did it without the use of contact through Ryou!
