The Punk Hazard/Dressrosa saga took what seemed like 10 years to finish and the only payoff was a beefed up version of the Alabasta arc with Luffy gaining more followers afterwards. I just got to nearly the end of Thriller Bark in my reread (they're fighting Oz/Oars right now) and want to finally catch up, but that don't mean I will enjoy things that are objectively far longer than they need to be or a repetition of prior events (mreso than the typical formula of Luffy and the Monster Trio taking on the most powerful opponents and the rest just taking a back seat in the major fights).

Part 2 is a lot better when you binge it but it’s painful at times when you’re reading on a weekly basis.

In theory, isn't Luffy possibly the strongest in the verse right now (discounting unknowns like Blackbeard and Imu)?

If Kaido is officially defeated in the next chapter then probably. The only other possibility would be Shanks, and it's highly unlikely that he'll be above Kaido.

What's the explanation for Luffy's rapid power growth on Wano? It seems like he got stronger here than the rest of Part 2 and maybe even Part 1 combined lol.

I think the context of the statement was in reference to Luffy's new form.

I was really enjoying it until Sun God Luffy's fight with Kaido. Such a massive disappointment with how amazing the Katakuri fight was previously.

Last good fight was Luffy vs Doflamingo to me.

I actually liked Luffy vs Kaido fight itself, but how it ended and what we actually got out of Kaido as a character brought it down dozens of points for me.
