His durability seems to be improving too.

Seems like she's gonna fall into that hole in the ground, putting her out of the picture for the rest of the arc. Then we'll see her in Elbaf probably.

Yeah I think Big Mom is lost. It's even said "your era is over" and "dragging them from their throne". Knowing Oda's way of ending battles, it seems it's KO for Big Mom.

I liked their attacks, but I felt Big Mom was little threatening. Most of the fight it was them instilling damaging in her. I think Oda is trying to make the Yonkos' durability aspect to show up more, but it didn't convince me. Tbh, Doflamingo seemed more threatening when battling Luffy and Law. I'm not much of a fan of how much damage Oda showed those two beasts suffering. It seemed they were being knocked around moreso than them inflicting the damage. I disliked it.

But yeah, with OP rowing to an end, it's time the emperors start taking the L. Maybe I'd like to see more screen training from Law to show more convincingly him going from < Doffy to a big threaten to Big Mom, but uh, I guess it's fine.

The Straw Hats barely were shown training aside from Luffy, so Oda skipping over Law training does make sense. I would've rather seen a mini flashback in the fight with Big Mom where both of them discovered awakening. It's even more disappointing that the majority of the fight has been skipped over, which is why it seems like Big Mom and Kaido are less threatening. We've barely seen whats been going on.

To be precise, I don't think Big Mom is down for the story, but just for this arc. Luffy vs Big Mom just has too much setup to not happen at some point.

I know most were skimmed over, but the main SHs were given more context in their gaining of power. Zoro was seen training with the Enma and Sanji had some battles plus all the context in the Germa situation. They also took on Yonko commanders, Law is already taking on a fucking Yonko. I wish more was shown to up the scales this much.

But how would that work in this context? Law and Kid are established to be of more importance than the likes of Zoro and Sanji, though it's debatable if they're actually stronger than Zoro at least in Haki. Who else would there have been for Law/Kid to fight to develop their powers? They have to be taking on guys above commander level if they are meant to be above Zoro and Sanji, and those don't exist aside from the Yonko.

Maybe arrange some fight for him, against some character. I don't know who, Oda is good at coming up with random characters. Or at least showcase a training section with him, showing how he awakened his Akuma no MI and how he got stronger physically. The way it was presented, it seemed like a big jump without much substance.

I don't disagree with that, but I also think Oda has tried his best to make it look like they aren't Yonko level, or even anywhere close to it yet. He's turned it into a devil fruit fight, and both Law and Kid have some of the most overpowered fruits in existence. Their awakening could have been shown in a flashback at the least, but we're meant to assume they both trained the same amount that Luffy did in preparation for the war. I don't think Oda needs to have shown it when he already showed Luffy and Kid training.

Well, their Devil Fruits also count as their own power, no? I guess yeah, physically they aren't up there, but Law's fight isn't physical.

Idk, I almost view Law's powers as a sort of cheating. It does require his own power and stamina to make use of them, but his awakening can straight up bypass any level of defense to internally damage the enemy. That's Oda's way of powering him up without really powering him up, if you know what I mean.

Finally read the new chapter. I like Kidd’s laser attack thing but I’m kind of confused how he managed to make it.

Well, I think what counts is you winning without cheating in a fight. Sanji is likely considerably stronger than Law physically, but Law would still likely fuck him up, so I scale Law above him independently of their physical standing. The DF is the conjunct of Law's prowess. I also thought the attack he used on Mingo (the name ran away from my mind now) is very OP and shocked the enemy from the inside. It had barely an effect on Big Mom before I think. So besides his awakening, he seems to be using considerable more power in his attacks for them to have so much effect imo. Awakening itself doesn't let you that powerful, your ability, cleverly and haki have to make up for it too imo.

Kid's laser attack is also, visually, not that different from what Franky could come up with. Not even his building smash seems that imoressive with all that has already happened in the series. His strength is obviously adding that a fuck ton.

Gamma knife? Yeah. Law is definitely eons above his Dressrosa self even without awakening. He was able to take Advanced Haoshoku attacks from Kaido and was still able to fight Big Mom after with Kid. He is a tank now and has power to back it up, but I'd still place him below Zoro. His awakening makes him a near top tier. I get the frustration about it, but when we saw Luffy and Kid training in the prison, and then Luffy stayed and continued to train, it's a given that his two rivals would also be doing the same.

Holy Shit. This Chapter though. Best chapter in Dressrosa. We see the Fucking Gorosei arguing with Akainu. The Kidd alliance going after Big Mam. Fucking X-Drake with Kaidou. That other dude going after Shanks. Akainu making Fujitora go after Luffy and tell him that he can't go back to Marine bases without capturing him. Smoker and Fujitora being anti-shichibukai. Doflamingo's death affecting the world. This chapter was madness
