That was probably the best chapter in recent memory due to the flashback alone. That better not be all Oda is showing of the God Valley incident though.

He keeps teasing it again and again.

They showed a little bit this chapter but they moved past it now. I didn’t expect them to show all the details yet anyway.

He can somehow nullify devil fruits and has some sort of gravity based powers. Plus he's like a 50 foot tall spider beast thing lol

Shanks conquerors seemed to be able to knock greenbull out out of his powers.

Or it could be that the Elder's can just nullify devil fruits, after all they have to know more about them than anyone else alive.

So Sanji is finally strong enough to fight Kizaru.

Pretty good chapter all around.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he will do well against Kizaru. But his exchange reminded me of the WB commanders fighting the Admirals at Marineford. Logically he should be able to at least stall Kizaru on his own now.

Yeah it'll probably look similar to how the commanders fought the admirals in Marineford. Strong enough to put up a fight at least.

Looks like we're finally reaching the climax with Luffy vs Saturn. So far I've kinda been dissapointed with how much the latter has been ragdolled recently but hopefully he shows off his power soon.

Saturn is odd. He let Bonney stab him and seemed able to instantly regenerate, so perhaps he is able to take damage without being affected.

I still have no idea how strong he is. He was able to easily hold down Sanji with his powers, though whether or not that's indicative of strength is yet to be seen.

Being able to move fast enough to block Kizaru's attack and even blocking it is a substantial demonstration of power for Sanji, even if he's still weaker.

Saturn seems to be able to regenerate himself and doesn't really care about taking hits at all. I wonder if that's a side effect of his immortality.

So how do you guys see Zoro and Lucci? Do you think by wrapping it up Zoro meant leaving the fight for another time, or just beating up Lucci quickly?

It's also curious that in one translation Zoro replied to Lucci's answer of Zoro's "wrapping up the fight" as "that's for the victorious to decide, you're just a dead weight dragging your friends, just die", with Zoro saying "you say that almost sounding like you're in control of the fight, Rob Lucci!!!"... While in the latter released translation, I think the VIZ one (though the fans' translations from OP these times are known for high accuracy too) Zoro replied as "you seem to think you are in control of how long we fight"... Which I don't know what to take. If either Zoro thinks Lucci has the misguided confidence he's ahead of Zoro going by the 1st translation, or perhaps, though more unlikely, Zoro being angry that he was at a disadvantage and being petty towards Lucci... Or in the second translation, if Zoro corrects Lucci's thought that the how long they will be fighting is in Lucci's control, meaning Zoro can just end it quickly from then on... Or perhaps, he can decide to retreat for the while with Lucci not being able to stop him. I don't know, but like with the first translation, that I interpret it as Zoro correcting Lucci thinking he was the superior one, with the second from VIZ likely showing Zoro thinks he can make it end quickly. Though it's still up in the air I guess.

It’s basically the same thing. In the Viz version Zoro is saying he is the one who will control when the fight ends, ergo, he’s in control.

Hmm good one. Hadn't seen it under this perspective of the same meaning, well said.

Though I'd say VIZ's one gives a bigger emphasis to Zoro being a lot stronger, since, like, saying the other wrongly thinks he's in the control of the fight is less abrasive than saying he can control when the fight ends. Like, you can not be in control like you think you are, but at the same time it doesn't necessarily entail that Zoro is also totally in control of the fight to the point he can end it instantly, wouldn't you agree? But yeah, I think VIZ is most likely more accurate since the talk was about wrapping the fight up. I just wasn't sure if Zoro meant leaving it for another time or if he meant taking Lucci down there and now. If the fanslation was more accurate (though unlikely) then it could be Zoro wishing a momentary truce and then when he saw Lucci bragging about that the victorious decides that and that Zoro dying would give them all a leeway, it may mean Zoro just being pissed at Lucci getting the wrong idea he was controlling the fight, not necessarily that Zoro could end it quickly and easily, but at the same time, not to let Lucci go away thinking he was getting the edge in the fight. Perhaps tho.

Yeah exactly. Zoro's statement is very vague. He's basically just telling Lucci that Lucci's claims are backwards and false. It's pretty clear that Zoro is struggling to put down Lucci, but he likely hasn't used his top techniques yet that might let him end the fight in a hurry.
