Exactly. If Toyotaro just went, "fuck it," and skipped ahead to the start of the tournament or the tournament in progress, the anime wouldn't need to dink around so much with these stupid ass and meaningless fights.

A 40 minute tournament honestly doesn't need to be longer than 10 episodes long, really. And I think Toyotaro kind of treats Super as an expression of his own creative ability (limited as it is) rather than a synopsis similar to the BoG and U6 arcs at this point, and that's why he made the FT arc last over 12 chapters. Fucks over the anime and makes it slow, but I guess he realizes the anime will never make sense or be anything above dumb entertainment

So it's revealed from the recent chapter that the reason 17 has heard Goku's voice before was because he was able to both see and hear him while he was inside of Cell. Guess that fixes the plot hole from the original manga.

Yeah it does open more inconsistencies. Why is 18 so shocked to hear that Gohan killed Cell? Even considering that she came out before Gohan killed him it still shouldn't come as a surprise when her last memories would be Gohan laying the beatdown on Cell.

That line from the OG manga was actually intended for Launch but sadly she was cut off for that charisma vacuum.

Was gonna drop Super but read the new chapter anyway. Apparently #17 and #18 turning good is explained by their bombs being removed which stifled the evil thoughts Gero programmed into them, #17 is probably a bit above SSJ3 Galu and Oob appears as a 6 year old, possibly suggesting we might finally get to EoZ in an arc or two.

Also, Galu has evidently forgotten that prophetic dream he had about Vegeta's to #18 and #17 because he doesn't know 17's face

I also find it weird that the manga is trying to use SSJ3 a lot more than the anime given it's even more draining than SSJG, but I guess that's Toyo for you
