Kanzenshuu doesn't seem to agree. It's the same translator and he's cleaned up some of the dialogue so it's not as awkward. Kanzenshuu has zero complaints with the translation of Kai. Where are you guys finding this negative feedback? Kai is exactly what we are looking for, a manga driven accurate translation. No filler.

I am watching my Kai blu-rays subbed in Japanese right now, and as I said it's the same as the original basically. I haven't looked into their reliability beyond them having the same translator, I just assumed the original would be the most reliable.

That's right boys said:
Orange Bricks are Steve Simmons

The Orange Bricks are the set box dvds. They contain SS's translations.

@p123 the Kai (translated by SS) seems to be accurate too, but the most acclaimed one is the original Z translated by him, which seems to come closer to the original. I think the link in which I posted above is Steve Simmons. @SuperSaiyan2 (or whoever has the Orange Bricks), your job: open a random episode in your Orange Bricks and do the same to the link I posted above in Kissanime. Compare the translations and say if they are the same.

Changing the dialogue so it's more natural sounding sounds like making it less literal if you ask me. OG > Kai

Just for you to verify the accuracy of the translations in the link I posted above.

Kanzenshuu people seem to prefer Kai, it is less awkward. It's the same translator people and he's made some better improvements. Don't stick to the original just for the sake of sticking to the original.

The original's translations seem more faithful to the JP manga though. Whenever they ask for anime subtitles they are referring to Z, not Kai.

Kai does have filler, btw. The shitty "Kid Boo is the strongest" is even in it.

Kai has less filler and just as good if not better translations. How is this not the superior choice?

Agreed with P, Kai's translations is basically SImmons updating his own translations

With being said I have Herms > Simmons but it def does not hurt to have his translations here

@e-how / ahill: Check kissanime and gogoanime. Those are our only hopes lol

Use Kai and non filler scenes. Take only the scenes that are directly from the manga.

Start all over you fool! Haha. While I'm not a master of translation knowledge as far as I can see, it's quite simple. We are concerned with the manga only and Kai cuts out filler, plus Simmons updated some of his translations to better showcase the style of the character. It's a win-win. Plus it's much less work.
