"Strong enough to have beaten my brother" just means strong enough that a victory for Goku is plausible. Upon seeing Super Saiyan it becomes apparent that that Freeza is "no match" for Goku. Base Goku or Kaio-Ken 10 Golu doesn't need to smoke Freeza, just be strong enough that a victory is...
Kaio-Ken x20 was never shown to be invisible but x10 was. So you'd have to double your numbers really.
Freeza "judged" that Goku had more to show. Since he couldn't sense ki yet it has to be based on judging Goku's behavior in the fight.
I think the movies take into consideration the manga's progression as well given at the time many fans would be keeping up with the manga and already be familiar with things ahead of the anime.
Even so there's no way that the way she was portrayed is going to make it to air in a modern production, so she'd have to be at least late high school or first year university student.
What always bothered me is how she could go on adventures in feudal Japan for days or weeks on end and still...
That's what I was thinking. We could skip Sugoroku space and instead just have Goku and Co. land on new Planet Plant and have the full sequence of Baby fights there, and have Goku's tail dramatically grow back after being defeated by Baby the first time.
If trying to edit existing GT footage...
The main problem is the Black Star Dragon Ball saga, but you could trim it into a montage as the opening act of the Baby saga movie.
Goku should have also regained his tail in his kid form in order to speed up the progression to SSJ4. That way you don't have to waste time forcibly regrowing...
For the sake of this mental exercise let's see how the movies can align with the anime/manga scaling under the premise that they are all somehow in one timeline.
I will start with Cooler as that's the one on my mind for now.
For Movie 5, there's two primary ways to scale it:
1. Base Goku >...
Ultimately I think these numbers were just references to the carddass battle powers. Regardless, it's still arbitrary to put a limit on movie characters' powers based on the anime progression at the time.
You can see Vegeta sweating at Goku's >8,000 power level. I think saying it's not similar...
Vegeta was concerned about Goku's power at 5,000 and >8,000. It's a fan assumption that these characters only ever show concern, surprise, or any kind of perturbance about powers greater than their own.
Calling it a "multiplier" is really just a shorthand phrase. Whatever it does, the Saiyans battle power increases by a factor of 50 at the end of the day.
Considering DBS's "tingly back" explanation, it's likely some kind of a feedback loop involving S-Cells and ki focusing.
If they ever make a live action adaptation of Inuyasha they will definitely have to age up the characters due to all the situations middle schooler Kagome was put in.
I think a lot of the movie 3 pamphlet battle powers are references to carddass numbers.
From Daizenshuu 8:
The number below the battle power shows the battle power "in battle." So Tullece is 19,000 normally and in battle it's multiplied by 3 so his full power is 57,000.
The carddass...
It's more about it being a generalized indicator of the opinions of those behind the scenes. Ultimately the company decides what's right.
With the Budokai Tenkaichi game there we're probably trying to match the look of Gohan without lightning from the film. I wouldn't say gameplay is a...
