Ah, this old angle. I remember this one. The problem here is that whatever gains you attribute to Goku's Super Saiyan 3, you have to attribute to Gotenks' Super Saiyan 3. And since Super Saiyan Gotenks >>> Super Saiyan Goku, there's no way around it.
