Its called context you silly goose... The context was to show they were strong for their age... Later the kids are never said to be powerful... Goku implies they are nothing... Kaioshin implies they are nothing and so does the new material

I'v used to take Martial Arts before and I clearly know the definition of Sparring. If I spar/train with someone of equal strength or more, I'll be going Full Power (Or close), but not with the intent to kill. Same could be said with Gohan and Goten.

The anime isn't written by Toriyama.

Context be damned. The entire manga has consistently shown kids blowing adults out of the water with Goku, Kuririn, and Gohan before them for 35 volumes. Had the author intended for there to be a significant difference in their powers, he'd have clearly stated it much like he did any time a kid was openly outclassed. Your context argument is trite and void, you pulled it out of your ass.

Kaioshin never implied anything, he even took a much weaker Kuririn along and had no idea how strong the Saiyans were in the spaceship, which he later admitted himself to Gohan. The new material has everybody in the U6 tournament being haxed and has no bearing on the Boo arc from several years prior and 2 decades ago in real time 1

Which makes sense because Boo, Goku and Vegeta were in the top 3 with everybody absorbed, and Goku and Vegeta had forms above Super Saiyan while the kids only do with Fusion; and it's not like any of us argue that the kids were completely equal to their fathers k
