The dialogue, Gohan's hair and even Daizenshuu 7 all support Gohan being a SSJ2.
Dabra was fighting evenly with a rusty Gohan only through the use of his magic tricks, so he can't be stronger than him, if he was unable to overpower Gohan in a power struggle.

The hair doesn't imply Gohan was a SSJ2 though.

More so, if you believe Gohan was FPSSJ against Dabra and that Goku's statement to Gohan about unleashing his anger to defeat Dabra was reffering to his SSJ2 form, then the Budokai scene directly contradicts that.

I'm not discussing what form Gohan was here. I'm only invalidating your "Gohan's hair was that of a SSJ2", because Gohan, while SSJ at the Budokai, had only one bang. Once again, he wasn't a SSJ2 there.

It's got the same appearance as everyone else's Super Saiyan1 and different from Gohan's explicitly Super Saiyan2 a few chapters later.

That might be because Toriyama was inconsistent with it or maybe he wasn't fully transformed into a Super Saiyan 2.
Either way, when fighting the robbers at the beggining as a FPSSJ, he has two bangs and that part of his hair didn't change between the beggining of the Boo arc. and the 25th Budokai.

Gohans hair was changed since the budokai onward tk have one bang regardless of the form... Gohan hair as SSjin 2 is one bang but spikier... Not to mention the SSjin 2 aura an the lightening and the sharp eyes

Saying he was SSjin 2 when he saw Videl being beaten is blatantly trolling.... He was SSjin... I am also sure GokuhanDBZfan know about the hair because it was explained and debunked since 2011 but keeps spouting this

Actually, he was pretty consistent with it. All of the confirmed SSJ2 characters had lightning sparks and a sharper aura, though I'm not so sure about the latter. Later, AT even goes to explain the difference between SSJ and SSJ2
