Why is Goku so surprised about how strong Goku and Boo are if he saw Goku fighting Fat Man from the Other World?

But Vegeta can see how strong he is by his movements... That's how he knew how strong #19 was.

Goku versus Fat Boo rally didn't look like a more impressive fight than Goku vs Cell movement-wise... lol. At least to me. Perhaps he couldn't gather much from it as it was kind of a strange fight.

But Vegeta can see how strong he is by his movements... That's how he knew how strong #19 was.

Being not used to a body heavily affects your combat and Ki abilities, as evidenced by Ginyu's battle power dropped drastically after entering Galu's body despite him being well adept in Ki control prior. I imagine being in a soul without the key components of his Ki would affect his ability to fully determine someone's strength, or he may have been completely unable to keep up with Goku and Boo's movements due to this.

Vegeta's assessment from Otherworld wouldn't have compared to how he'd see it up close. The most he'd deduce is Goku was more powerful because he had a different form. I've seen some people say Vegeta's surprise is based on Goku's power being way higher than it was when he fought Fat Boo, but I don't see it that way.

Has anyone else seen this episode of Death Battle? It's Android 18 vs Captain Marvel. I thought this was going to be awesome but holy shit, the hackjob that they did on 18's stats and bio is embarrassing and laughable.

I thought these guys have done some pretty good work on breaking down some of these characters in the past. Goku vs Superman wasn't perfect, but at least detailed and studied. This is garbage, like they didn't even take the time to research the character beyond a quick wiki.

Just watch the first half for 18's bio. They nerfed the shit out of her.

If anything, they completely nerfed Captain Marvel, given her peak self is Solar System level with Massively FTL+ speed and this was pre-Super #18. CM should've definitely won, so I'd say there was little research on both sides.

Death Battle scarcely bother to do much research beyond surface level anyway, and usually have pretty bad double standards (eg. saying they wouldn't take into account powerscaling for the Goku VS Superman match, yet still used SSJ multipliers to calculate his peak stats, as well as using a fake SS4 multiplier to boot), so them failing isn't really something new.

I don't know much about Carol Danvers past her Ms. Marvel days, so I did not get too much into the final outcome of the fight. Even if she lost, the feats they use to judge 18 are a complete joke. "She can blow up buildings, cities, and possibly even planets!" Really?

Why Trunks made such a big deal over Goku stopping his sword? He just showed Cold the fact he yields a sword means jack shit.

I always considered it the way Goku stopped the sword which impressed. More than Goku could block him with one finger, since the sword is basically in tuned with whatever battle power Trunks has at the time. Not in a mystical way but a plot based way.

Cold was a moron that thought Trunks' power was in the sword. He didn't understand that Trunks' power was why he was able to slice Freeza in pieces.

The hype over Goku stopping Trunks' sword had more to do with the demonstration of power and relative ease he had in doing it. Someone like Cold trying to use trickery is one thing. Trunks using real effort and having his sword parried is much more hype in comparison. Trunks does highlight the fact that Goku stopped the sword that sliced Freeza in half, but I think Trunks factoring in his own prowess would've been one of those things that goes without saying.

There's also the statements implying Goku wasn't all out against Fat Boo. He was as high as he could be in chi output, but I believe he was pulling his punches, not hitting as hard as he could. So maybe his movements wouldn't seem so impressive as they would if he went all out, like against Kid Boo?

With the way Vegeta looked immediately after Goku transformed, I'd say movement probably wasn't a factor in his mind. Mainly just the power he sensed.

Has anyone noticed how Piccolo Daimao grows two extra fingers when he says Goku is gonna die in five seconds but then his hand goes back to 3 fingers?
