So it’s as I thought all along. Suppressed Oden tanked a full power attack from Roger.

Wow. Pretty unfortunate that Roger/Whitebeard’s battle is completely skipped over. What a joke. Unless Oda has plans to flesh out Roger’s crew in the upcoming chapters, this would have been a great time.

Why does Roger need Oden to read the poneglyph? I thought e could decipher their messages on his own.

Wait where was the 4th road poneglyph? Roger had seen Big Mom’s, Fishman Island, and Zou. Where was the last one?

When they are on Zou, what are Oden and Roger referring to when they say they can feel something huge stored there? I’m assuming it isn’t referring to Zunisha. The panel went directly to the whale tree as if it has some sort of significance.

But yea the mystery bait is getting old. I can appreciate Oda not wanting to reveal all of these secrets at this point, but something should have been revealed. Instead we are left with the thought of One Piece being some irrelevant treasure. I hope it’s not the case.

Imo the one piece doesn’t have to be anything extravagant as long as there is extreme significance to it. However given the reveal in 967, I doubt that will be the case. Oden still referred to it as a “treasure”, but Roger’s reaction tells it all. Also I’m not a fan of Joy Boy being turned into some prankster after surviving the Void Century, and the importance he was given in Fishman Island. I suppose the will of D. will be the reason for Roger/Luffy/Joyboy’s personalities.

So with the reveal of One Piece, I assume that the giant straw hat shown in Mariejois is not the final treasure. It must be an ancient weapon of sorts then.

Not just that, but Raftel and Laugh Tale would be pronounced differently in Japanese (Rafuteru and Rafuteiru respectively).

Are the translations at MangaPlus the Viz's ones? I had almost full certainty it was, but then I saw someone saying they are different.

Not sure. As a good rule of thumb, check how Zoro's name is spelt. If they spell it "Zolo" then it's Viz.

The one at Skypiea only revealed that Poseidon was at Fishman Island, iirc.

Seems to be to some degree, given the scaling from Oden in the same panel, though they do seem far shorter than the Elbaf giants or Saul.
