For reasons I mentioned above, the manga industry can still function despite the anime industry being mostly on-hold due to it not requiring as much interaction to accomplish. Only the anime is on-hold right now.

You're trying to say there is a hiatus because the last chapter was April 24th. There was supposed to be a chapter last week but it got pushed into this week. It releases on Viz May 10th. There is no hiatus.

979 amounted to nothing more than proving Orochi/Kaido’s incompetence. That initial monologue was extremely damaging to Orochi’s character. I can’t say I care about the Flying 6 at all and was surprised the numbers still weren’t introduced. Also there is even more mystery bait regarding Kaido’s son, Yamoto, but that is becoming quite tiresome. Oda needs to get on with the plot and stop wasting so many pages in each chapter.

Along with what SSJ2 said, we also have the typical of Sanji being such an annoying simp even Robin's not being delicate about kindly passing on his invitation whilst being all up for riding Fra-, I mean, riding with Franky. The Virgsmoke Simpji VS The Franchad (aka. Chaddy Flam).

The Flying 6 are already presenting themselves to be a waste outside of Drake with how one-note the characterisation of the girl in the mask is. Doesn't seem like the plot will be going anywhere fast either.

Oda should give one of those vehicles a Devil Fruit. That would be something new at least
