I wouldn't really say that. Everyone is a complete toothpick in Minus and Jaco, even moreso than Toyo's pissshit, and the overly wide pen strokes AT likes to use in his new digital art makes his manga look like a Peanuts-like comic strip rather than a respectable, detailed manga.

When it comes to Jaco, no one is big and buff like they are in Dragon Ball. I don't consider it an issue for that sort of series, one which isn't action focused in the slightest.

Toriyama's work was never detailed from day one.

Except that DB Minus, which is basically the canon version of the original Bardock Special, is illustrated in much the same, if less detailed art style than Jaco when it does have manly muscular men :ladd

AT's work had a more hyperdetailed touch in the Saiyan, Freeza and Cell sagas. Nothing like what Minus and Jaco show.

I can't defend Minus, it's bad on all fronts. :et

True, Toriyama was great at blending realism and cartoony exaggeration. Toyo isn't good at that, not in the slightest. However the art for the original was never hyper detailed. Jaco's style is more a harkening back to the Dr. Slump era, I'd say.

I mean yeah, AT was never Mr. Perfection but you can't tell me you can't see what's more detailed about that panel where Super Vegeta gut punches Semi Cell when you look at a similar panel where Galu is whooping Tao. There's a much greater attention to detail in the former.

Yeah, he has gotten less detailed. However, I'd still argue it's better than Toyotaro work.

I think Toyotaro is a hack and poor storyteller too, but I'd rather praise his art of MUI Galu whooping Jiren over

Although, I'd admit it's because I find Toyotaro's artwork at least mimics the surface look of the original series more closely than AT's new cartoony work, which makes characters even less muscled than Faggotaro.

That looks like ass, I agree. However, it isn't ass on the level of lazily referencing iconic imagery for a big climatic moment.

To be fair, his anime self was beaten by SSJ Galu and Freeza after becoming fatigued, so being pushed back by the two Base Saiyans isn't entirely impossible if he lost the same amount of power in the manga when the gap between Base and SSJ doesn't seem to be much different to what it is in GT.

Looks like a repeat from the previous arc fight IMO. Goku attaining a new form, put up a good fight until his body worns out back to his base form then team up against the final villain. I need to reread the previous arc again.

This is significantly lamer since Vegeta wasn't even explicitly defeated by Jiren, Galu saved him before Jiren could KO him out of SSJBE and Jiren himself sustained far less damage than his anime self had against MUI Galu, being the one who won the exchange instead (whereas the anime version was soundly defeated before Galu collapsed).

If not Galu, Vegeta should have transformed at least imo. He's basically rested the entire time Jiren was out fighting Freeza, 17 and Galu and was never KO'd to begin with.

Freeza was still Golden at the end of chapter 40. If base Veggie and Galu can push back Jiren then Golden Freeza ought to assrape him.

Nope, Golden Freeza is at -25% power right now, but he can remain golden because he's not using up stamina.

I bet the next chapter will be pushing two base Saiyans w/ teamwork hax > Jiren > Golden :rape

We didn't see the manga version of Freeza and Goku/Vegeta's fight so who's to say that Freeza has the same stamina issue? Maybe he can just stay Golden like an MSSJ can stay in Super-Saiyan (Goku at the Cell-Games notably). He surely must have learned from his stamina problem on Namek.
