He also said he wanted true strength, so I doubt he wanted to just cheaply wish for it. I'm pretty sure he planned to revive Gicchen at least.

The fact that he instantly flip-flopped onto "bonds are cool" as soon as Toppo encouraged him when he was about to lose also tells me he was secretly lonely with all his buddies gone.

Pros:
Now we know what Jiren wants to wish which we weren't told in the anime.

Cons:

Goku mastering the UI faster, I liked how the anime handled it where Goku's offence is too weak that he had to work it out throughout the tournament.

He only outlasted Goku's stamina. Goku went back into base when he was knocked back and had a pretty solid lead against Jiren throughout most of the fight.

Piccolo could not see the punches of Jiren and MUI Goku, while Vegeta in Base state did and managed to save Goku from falling off the Platform. Will Vegeta Base be> Piccolo?

Not really. Piccolo was a lot further away and melee action is harder to track than someone being pushed back anyway.

Seems really...forgettable.

It was , though still had more overall consistency than it's anime counterpart. At least character strength didn't fluctuate wildly between chapters too a large degree and anyone who fought a significant character didn't automatically go from being heroic to villainised.
