The ToP was a disappointment. I mean, all of Super was, but the ToP could've been interesting...

It could have been had Toyotaro simply skipped BOTH BoG and RoF, abbreviated the U6 arc some more, and gotten ahead of the anime. He already skipped plenty of filler like Arale and the Hit rematch and yet he ended up way behind, despite literally saying the opposite would happen. He spent too much time on irrelevant battles and not enough time on the peak of Super itself, the Tournament of Power.

I don't see how the ToP could've been made interesting in either form of media. After all, the original manga/DBZ's ending completely plot armours Universe 7 and makes the attempts at providing tension over the fate of universes being on the line entirely hollow. The only way to make it slightly engaging would've been to focus primarily on exploring the other universes and their inhabitants in order to develop them well and provide some sense of tragedy in their inevitable demise rather than having them be one-dimensional jabronis. Best the ToP could be would be a poor man's version of ZoTT from Battle Angel Alita: Last Order.

I think Gohan (at the beginning of ToP) was completely stronger than in his Ultimate state of Arc Boo. Gohan Base seemed to be superior to Goku Base at the beginning of the ToP.
