Aren't You Guys Tired Of Discussing The Same Topics Endlessly For Nearly 40 Years?

Someone may want to stay sharp or become more refined in how they explain things, even if the POV remains the same. Then you get some who don't care about that and simply just sustained their interest in a topic.

Was Baby really compared to Vegetto?

From what I recall, SSJ3 Goku thought he could find success against Base B. Vegeta, however his gigantic drop in stamina made that confidence vanish. Tailed SSJ3 Goku was the answer to that previous stat disadvantage, however he fought a way stronger Baby. I'm curious what gap is constituted for...

SSJ2 Vegeta (Battle of Gods) vs Kid-Boo

Out of all training methods, image training would be last on the list in terms of translating to logic. A statement comparing a character to a previous powerhouse, or actual feats, carry vastly more weight. When dealing with something that's imagination-based as this training method would...

Why Is The Frieza Race/Clan Ruthless?

The Saiyans are described as a warrior race, so perhaps Frieza's race has their version of that going on. Frieza seemed to have more expansive plans with his ruthlessness, always thinking about how he can pull the strings. Having a vastly high power level among the cosmos while rarely getting...

SSJ2 Vegeta (Battle of Gods) vs Kid-Boo

Vegeta's durability holds up somewhat better than last time, but he gets bodied when Buu's done playing. Excluding his fleeting moment of rage (which we scan scale because of Roshi's assessment of him), the idea that he surpassed a tier's worth of power doesn't seem implied.

    Vegeta vs Freeza (Round 1)

It's no surprise that Vegeta was primarily team-minded at this stage, as opposed to pressing for a solo win with supposedly 'close' strength. Raw stats were out of the picture, it was a matter of potential: From his POV: - Krillin + Gohan would grow to become useful in a fight with an expected...

    Vegeta vs Freeza (Round 1)

It was the first time Frieza didn't immediately get his way in a combat exchange, so it's viewed more impressively than it actually is. 1st Form Frieza mid diffs him at worst.

    BoDB Goku vs Spopovich

@Animelover5487 It wasn't just the regular humans that reacted that way. What Spopo did certainly isn't commonplace in Dragon Ball combat. I'd go a step further and say there's no comparable instance of another human doing something like this, without at least being seen as an oddball...

    BoDB Goku vs Spopovich

@Animelover5487 Having your neck twisted around and popping it back in place constitutes normal durability? I'm curious how you came to that conclusion. Onlookers were freaked out by that occurrence at large. I'm sceptical about how relevant Vegeta is to the situation. Not only was his fight...

    BoDB Goku vs Spopovich

I suppose they both fit into the broad category of baseline super strength, firmly distinct from standard human conditioning. Goku could push him back and potentially make him look silly with conventional fighting, but I'm not convinced he wins that way. Spopovitch likely wears him down over...

Who has more potential: Kuririn or Tenshinhan?

Likely Krillin in base stats. Tien comes off better (although futile) against opponents with a massive lead, but at the cost of life energy.

Did anyone else think the evil third eye Gomah wanted was Tien's eye?

Modern Tien is capable of being involved in big battle events (as per ToP), but nowhere near as a central or deciding factor. It didn't come to mind. Dragon Ball tends to go down the brute force route as opposed to extreme hard-countering as well.

    How strong is base Goku?

Unfortunately, there's little to no meat on the bones when it comes to survival feats in almost all scenarios. What matters: - Damage (beyond cosmetic damage, can they reduce their opponents' health significantly?) - Win Cons (now that we know they can inflict damage, do they have the ability...

    Was Mecha Frieza Mandatory?

It gave Trunks a chance to show his strength and competence prior to transitioning to the next plot. But that's a sad way to go out for a character that gave everyone hell at the end of the last plot. Previously imposing characters getting wrecked is just part of the Dragon Ball life cycle. Tao...

Him from powerpuff girls vs tupac the rapper

If Tupac starts in his hologram form, then he could stalemate. Otherwise, HIM blitzes. Tupac was cautious of gunfire and potentially dying from it throughout his run. That throws a spanner in the works of his scaling.

    Whis Vs. Zarbon

Even barring his monster form, Zarbon got his hands dirty quite a bit, while Whis fights in a comparatively clean and evasive way. It would seem that being 'fabulous' would fall in-line more with the latter. Frieza's subordinates' clothes look battle-oriented. The angel garments seem fancier.

Baby Vegeta vs Goku Black vs purple Vegeta

Strength-wise, Goku Black low-diffs them. Character-wise, it's between Goku Black and Baby Vegeta. I would say the former, but I can see a case for BV. Copy-Vegeta was a bit more gimmicky, and you could tell that the situation would sort itself out fairly soon.

    How Actually Effective Is Armor?

Nothing major. You could say the armored being would look less rough after a destructive fight. Though if Piccolo's around, that can be fixed up in no time.

DB Super vs GT power levels

Talk of Universal power came quite late into GT, while it's a central theme early on in Super. Not that this level of power isn't respected later on in the show of course.

What If Power Levels Didn't Exist?

It played a big role in the iconography of the show, especially the scouter-based variant of it. While its canonical relevance faded away -- at least numerically -- it's hard to imagine something else filling the gap in its absence had it not ever been a thing.
