Yea agreed with p123; I think Kaioshin and above that cannot be sensed. Whis said something like this:

"You can't feel his ki, huh? This is a good start ... don't know if Goku's ki resembles that of a Kaioshin or of Beerus, but since you can't feel, means that Goku has risen to the status of a God ".

Note that Whis does not include Kaio-sama in that sentence, so Kaio would be a particular case in my opinion.

It was never stated Kaioshin gives off no Ki though. There's a difference between saying a character doesn't give off any Ki like 19 and 20, versus saying they can't estimate his full strength. Piccolo is directly telling us he is much stronger, not that he is a god, otherwise he would've said those words. The actual words are that he is far more powerful.

Kaioshin's techniques against Majin Buu and Gohan clearly put him at least on a Super Saiyan level. Kaioshin is a very weird character to understand from a battle power perspective.

I like the power level you had for Kaioshin in Zetaboards; I think you had Kaioshin at 500,000,000 and Pocus at 1,000,000,000.

His status would be more important than his power. Kaioshin's power in the end was shown to not stack up with Super Saiyan 2 or Fat Boo but still much more powerful than Piccolo, so it wouldn't be note worthy for Kaioshin. None of this actually contrdicts Piccolo's statement. You're arguing against an objective statement with subjective interpretations.

No one was able to correctly deduce how powerful Kaioshin was, and his ki is stated to be useless when trying to resurrect Boo. I'd assume there's a high probability he has godly energy just from that, but we know for a fact that lower gods like Dende, Kami and North Kaio have been sensed in the past. If taking Toriyama's SEG statements at face value, it could be that Kaioshins possess godly ki due to being born from golden fruits while regular Kaio aren't. Whis also mentions that Kaioshin's have a different "level" of ki like Beerus, so going off Super alone there's no doubt Beerus' ki is similar to Kaioshin.
