Is it a stand attack that seems to be more troublesome than destructive? Can't it?

Can't make this shit up.

So, rather than gain some more innovative and unique technique, Vegeta just got access to Shunkan Ido. Perhaps he'll reveal a better technique later on such as an evolution of what he used on prisoner Zarbon, but it does raise the question of why he never had Goku teach him it. Pride shouldn't be a factor, considering he already admitted Goku was the better fighter in the battle with Boo. Again, Super does everything it can to retcon Vegeta's catharsis.

In fairness, Goku never taught Shunkan Idou or the Kaioken to Gohan and Piccolo, and they trained together for three years. Just seems like AT basically intended for it to be a Galu-exclusive technique until Toyotaro pulled that Vegeta training on Yardrat fanfiction shit.

That being said, Vegeta struggling just to use Shunkan Idou after all that buildup is dumb. Good thing I already dropped Super.

Goku doesn't know any other Yardrat technique besides teleportation.

You really think they build up that entire Vegeta subplot for teleportation to be the main downfall of Moro?

Now, I haven't read the spoilers, but I think it's a little bit out of left field to be assuming he isn't gonna show far more techniques based on a fight that had literally just started.

They literally said a few chapters ago that Teleportation is novice shit. Since Vegeta struggled to use even that, I doubt they'll have a good explanation for him having more advanced techniques. Now, since this is Super and nothing needs to be consistent I can see him using something much stronger, but there wont be a good explanation for it.

Like I said I didn't read the spoilers so I don't know anything about that. I just don't think struggling with something is an indicator of anything. Goku struggled everytime he went through new training methods.

Goku didn't struggle to use Shunkan Idou the very first time we saw him use it. Since Vegeta struggled with even that and Shunkan Idou is evidently a much less advanced technique than some higher level ones (which would be necessary to beat Moro without fusing), I really doubt they'll have a good explanation for Vegeta being able to use such moves.

I thought you meant struggle to learn it, not struggle to use it. I'll read the chapter when it comes out to form an opinion.

So far all we have is this:

Vegeta needed an entire page just to teleport to Goku. Hes clearly not well versed in the art of Yardratan techniques

maybe it could be said that teleporting for the Yardratians planet is simply more difficult.

And I didn't say that Shunkan Idou ought to be the only thing Vegeta learned. I actually think he'll come up with something else, very likely, and the Shunkan Idou was simply a prelude to these other techniques.

We really don’t know if he’s struggling or not. Since we’re looking at the page out of context we don’t know if something bad happened on Earth that we don’t know about, or maybe he has to take a shit. It’s also been said a chapter or two back that he has a higher spirit energy or whatever they called it since Goku rushed to learn a new technique so it’s highly unlikely Vegetas struggling.

Looking at the completed chapter, he did struggle a bit with teleportation but apparently it was his first use after trying to learn it in a matter of minutes.

Pretty convenient how Vegeta wouldn't try to master teleportation after this just so we don't have another person who can use one of Goku's unique abilities. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like Vegeta only went through the trouble of mastering only one new technique that would be the most useful against Moro. The way those group of mini Yardrats were all exhausted and had to be healed makes me think he learned how to absorb others Ki. Fight fire with fire and all that.

And of course, Goku had to again act like a retard even in battle by thinking he could win against his opponent by just powering up. Goddamit Toyotaro.

At least the fight choreography was good and Vegeta's badass entrance is something I thought we would never see from anybody other than Goku.

Reading this now.

Gohan: "Look at those clashing auras!"

This sounds straight out of a fanfic. All of the commentary from the cavalry in Super is atrocious.

Lol You're telling me their auras were strong enough to make it nearly impossible to approach one another? What a hilariously bad looking scene. Goku and Moro menacingly approach one another at 1 mile/hr :ha

Gohan then celebrates like a little kid because Goku pushed Moro back. Come on.

Now back to Vegeta.. Of course nobody factored in that Vegeta wouldn't be able to teleport back to earth, now he is going to learn Shunkan Ido within minutes? Fuck off

So now Galu is hindering his own fighting ability by fighting with brute strength? Why doesn't he just transform into Grade 3 then? :ha

Funny how Gohan and Piccolo, let alone Moro's ki weren't able to be sensed, but a half dead Base Goku can be sensed from Yardrat? Give me a break :ha

Lmfao Moro having to brace himself to block 17/18's attacks, and then even compliments their power :ha

Wow, that chapter was historically bad. -0/10 :cena

The main fight was a whole lot of nothing, just been yet another pointless "I haven't been using my full power!" cliche. It also continues to ruin Galu's characterisation further by having him rely on raw strength despite it hindering UI. You'd never think this was the guy who instantly knew the flaw of Grade 3. :facepalm

The Yardrattians mentioning how Vegeta is a prodigy of hard work is not only fairly forced, but both devalues Goku's own progress through effort and shows a misunderstanding of Vegeta's character. Yes, Vegeta says he can't match a fighting genius like Kakarrot in the Boo Arc, but that doesn't seem strictly true when each of the instances of Goku surpassing Vefeta (bar the Zenkai on Namek) has been through utilising a new training method. In terms of being a prodigy through hard work, they are at least equal in that regard, if not something that lies more in Goku's favour. Again, Toyotaro has limited understanding of the characters he's been trusted to write.
It also seems very forced that Shunkan Ido is just a one-time use thing for Vegeta that he says he can't use again when that's not how any technique outside of Godly ones have been shown to be used before. His dialogue makes it seem as though he simply doesn't want to use a signature skill of Goku's, which is stupid when Goku didn't even invent the technique and the amount of people who use the Kamehameha, Kienzan and Taiyoken make it apparent using the signature skill of others is far from a big deal anymore.

#17 and #18 grazing Moro is really stupid when they, Piccolo and Gohan couldn't even bruise Saganbo. I guess getting beat up by Saganbo was a workout akin to several years of park ranging. :troll It's at least interesting that Moro was instantly aware they were artificial lifeforms, which along with 73's existence, shows such being aren't exclusive to Earth.

I'll give Toyotaro some credit in that the dialogue he presents plugs a potential plot hole as quickly as he introduces it. The whole thing about Yardrattians not being able to use Shunkan Ido to go to other worlds could've proven to raise a whole lot of questions if the anime ever adapts this arc due to Jimeze, but it's quickly explained it's a rule that can be broken in emergency circumstances. Still, that one moment of competency doesn't make up for how dumb the rest of the chapter was.

On top of everything both of you guys pointed out, there is my issue with Vegeta's overly arrogant self. Once again, he's turned into Cell Arc Vegeta. It's like Toyotaro only cares about what's iconic about the characters than the consistency of their characterization.
