Headcanon: Goku had moved on and likely wasn't even aware of it. When the Z- Fighters showed up they went to King Kai hit Goku was already training with the Grand Kai and couldn't be bothered.
Made Trunks look kind of villainous. Imagine of Trunks was coming from the future to kill Goku for some plot to avoid catastrophe in his timeline. Like Goku had to die to save his future.
Could be first blood syndrome.
With the future androids being somewhat weaker than the present ones, the future Z fighters may have been seen as more of a threat, so the androids committed first blood. After this they were more desensitized to death which led them on a darker path.

If I'd dis wipe out sleep debt, then Vegeta who had been kept awake worrying about the Ginyu Force would not need a nap after the senzu. He did, there his sleep debt persisted.
