If anything this is the thing that can convince me.
It also suggests that Trunks' best SSJ blast(albeit with little charge time) doesn't appear to be much of any higher than his regular SSJ power, which could lend credence to my ki attack theory(that they scale from base rather than max powers).
Good format. If I do a video I think I'll take a split-screen approach to show anime and manga levels side-by-side, intercut between sources and arguments. I think I'll do the original 4:3 format but make use of the space on the sides for more details.
it's a shame that a "canonically focused"...
You don't have to consider my numbers exact, they are more of approximations.
I standardized "almost as strong" to mean 90/100 gap. You could just narrow that for personal taste.
For Androids saga Super Saiyans, the commonly accepted scaling from weakest to strongest is Trunks < Goku < Vegeta...
Basically a safe bet is the more or less the average between Babidi Saga Vegeta and Babidi saga Goku.
Babidi saga Vegeta: 75
Cell Games Gohan: 86-88
Babidi saga Goku: 100
Thinking about it again, assuming Vegeta kept the same gap against Goku as they had at the Cell Games, a safe bet is Cell Games Gohan at the midpoint between the two.
At least within a competitive distance to Cell Games Gohan since he questioned which of them was stronger since Gohan stopped training while he had been training.
The baseline is more so being stronger than expected Vegeta because Chi-Chi says between Gohan and Goku the first and second place prizes would be 15 million zenni. So Gohan should at least be in second place going by expectations.
The Legend of Manga says Grade 3 Trunks "acquired a force ten times greater" but doesn't specify what it's 10x greater than. This is an attempt to steel man the argument that it is 10x Androids Saga SSJ Trunks, comparing new and former highest forms' overall power.
A benefit to this theory is...
The number of blows someone uses to down someone is not always indicative of the number of blows needed to down someone. Just that it's the number of blows they used to down them.
Old Kai saying Gokohan may not need SSJ is perhaps a 50/50 chance that he's talking about Ultimate or base Gokohan. Maybe base Gokohan ~/< Buutenks with the rival boost pushing the weaker components somewhat higher to eclipse Ultimate Gokohan. If even Ultimate Gokohan is only a little stronger...
If you think Goku's regular full power against Raditz is 416, then it is closer to 2.25x. Raditz measured Goku's Kamehameha at 924 which is approximately 2.22x 426. But Raditz said the power was still increasing, so a 2.25x increase to place the super kamehameha at 936 is fitting.
The 1.5x...
Either:
1. By Evil Buu > Pure Buu, just say Evil Buu can use the full might of Innocent Buu with Pure Buu.
2. By Pure Buu > Evil Buu, say Dai Kaioshin still had influence to subdue Buu's power, like we already do with Huge Buu.
Do you think the relative power levels in the different fights could be comparable? Like sick Goku vs 19 = SSJ Goku bs initial Metal Cooler, and so on. Not in terms of actual power levels just how they compare within each fight.
Either 1: they spew verbal abuse at you and you block them, which they see as a win, or 2: you listen to their verbal abuse an even get into a back and forth over it, which they still see as a win. The only smart choice is to deny them the personal satisfaction of either option.
